Why Choose Strategy Milling?

Strategy Milling was built to fix the metal problems every lab has been fighting for decades. The track record, established since 2012, demonstrates that the Strategy Milling solution is extraordinarily effective.

We are not here to be a vendor. We are here to be a partner. Your reputation depends on consistency. Ours does too. That alignment is why labs trust us.

Over a decade of production with less than 0.5% remakes and no bridge ever milled has required cutting, soldering or welding to correct a fit issue caused by Strategy Milling. Not one.

Over a Decade. The Record Speaks.

Claims are easy to make. A track record is harder to build.
Since 2012, Strategy Milling has maintained an external remake rate below 0.5% across every alloy, every case, and every shift. Not occasionally. Consistently.
During that time, not a single bridge has required soldering or welding to correct a fit issue due to warpage. That is not a claim. It is a production record
What that means for your lab:
Educating dentist customers about the advanced technology and how it eliminates soldered or welded bridges provides peace of mind in cases involving bridge frameworks. Laboratories can market this technological advancement to their customers.
When your metal is consistent, your workflow becomes predictable. And when your workflow is predictable, your lab can grow without friction

World-Class Equipment. Industrial Precision.

Most milling centers use dental-grade equipment designed for dental applications. Adequate, but not exceptional. Strategy Milling made a different choice.

We run Röders RXD5 milling systems with RCS Automation, industrial-grade mills at 8,500 lbs. and $500,000 per system. Lights-out. 24-hour milling. Automated handling from start to finish. The same class of machine used in industries where a bad part is simply not an option.

Unlike equipment designed to be replaced every few years, our mills are built to evolve. When our newest RXD5s arrived with updated Race-Cut software, we installed the same upgrade on our original mills. Ten-year-old machines brought to current performance. Precision is engineered, not assumed.

6 Alloys. 6 Mills. 1 Model. All fit.
We milled the same three-unit PFM bridge file from six alloys across six mills with different tool sets. Every bridge fit the same model without adjustment. Try that with casting

The Alloy Portfolio

Nowhere else on the planet will you find a manufacturer creating alloy discs in the same manner as Strategy Milling. With its proprietary manufacturing process, Strategy Milling leads North America as the only facility milling four different categories of alloys, including Noble and High Noble in Crown & Bridge and PFM Alloys. Of those alloys, Strategy is the only milling center in the world offering a milled Pd base, Type IV Ceramic alloy. It is the only North American manufacturer offering a milled, high-noble ceramic alloy.

Stop managing multiple vendors and carrying expensive alloy inventory. Strategy Milling gives your lab what it needs, eliminating the inconsistency and overhead that comes with both.

Your Alloy Starts Here. Not at a Supplier.

Strategy Milling manufactures its own discs in our in-house foundry, and verifies every batch with outside, independent metallurgical testing companies.
What happens in that foundry is our proprietary process. What comes out of it is verified, traceable, and consistent.
In-House Disc Manufacturing

Every alloy disc is cast in our own foundry. We control the elemental composition before your file ever arrives.

Discs are created from four different precious metal alloys in our on-site foundry.  No dental laboratory has built this process to control the elemental deviations that occur during each melt.  We did.

40-Element ICP Testing
Samples from every batch are sent to independent external metallurgical labs for Inductively Coupled Plasma analysis, a technology that scans for 40 separate elements, not just the expected ones. Identifying deviations and any potential contaminants.
Master Alloy Correction
When test results reveal deviations from spec, a custom master alloy is created to correct them in the next melt.  This is a never-ending cycle we chase, constantly minimizing alloy makeup deviations.
Full Traceability

Every restoration can be traced back to its exact elemental makeup. If a question ever arises about a case, we answer it with data.

We take these steps to improve upon the old process.  When elemental deviations occur in alloys, alloys behave differently.  This leads to inconsistency.  Strategy Milling stopped that.

What This Means for Your Lab

40-Element ICP Testing
A remake rate below 0.5% means the cases you send come back right. Fewer remakes means improved output at your laboratory.
Reduced Labor
No die prep, waxing, spruing, investing, burnout, casting, divesting.  No technician that understands and can do all of that.  No chasing fit issues at the bench.  Improved workflow, improved results. Overhead-free for the laboratory.  Your team’s same amount of time generates increased revenue.
Improved Cash Flow
Stop paying twice for cases that should have been right the first time.
Predictable Workflow
When your metal is consistent, your production schedule becomes predictable. Predictable means plannable. Plannable means profitable.
Stronger Doctor Relationships
A top reason dentists choose a different lab is inconsistent work. Consistent fit from Strategy Milling protects the relationships you have spent years building.

Built by a Technician. For Technicians.

Strategy Milling was founded by Scott Mappin, a highly skilled analog technician who spent years fighting the same metal problems every lab deals with.
When he couldn’t find a solution, he built one.

That frustration became a mission: give labs a precise, consistent, repeatable standard so they can grow without fighting metal every week.

That mission still drives everything we do.

Is Strategy Milling Right for Your Lab?

We are the ideal partner for labs that are serious about precision, consistency, and growth.
If any of the following sounds familiar, Strategy Milling was built for you.
You are casting alloy restorations
And dealing with the warpage, porosity, and remakes that casting has always produced.
Your current milling center is inconsistent
You are absorbing the remake cost, the wasted time, and the reputation damage that comes with it.
You are managing multiple vendors
Different materials, different standards, different results. One accountable partner is a better answer.
Your team is spending time on metal problems
Time troubleshooting fit issues is time not spent on work that actually grows your lab.
You have been burned before
You need a partner you can stake your reputation on, not just one that sounds good in a pitch.

Let Your Next Case Come Back Right.

Your first case will tell you everything you need to know. Creating an account takes minutes.
